You can take a path up next to the American Falls and really get soaked! We did and it was pretty cool to be that close to the power of the water.

A must-do for anyone coming to Niagara, you get real close to the Horseshoe Falls and get wet...felt good on a hot day...a lot of fun!

This dock was used in the 1600's and has been preserved. This is the ship, the Friendship, and is a replica of the type which would have been docked at this land pier back then.

We visited the Salem Witch Museum in Salem, MA and learned about the witch trials in 1692! Don't we look scary?

These vehicles are abbreviated DUKW (called Ducks) and were used during WWII for land and sea access, so the tour was on land and in the water.

The Old State House

This is the Old State House. The balcony draped with the banner is where the Declaration of Independence was read July 18, 1776. They still read it from this site every 4th of July! The area where I took the picture of the balcony side of the building is where the Boston Massacre occurred...see next picture.

We made a detour to the Omni Parker House for their Boston Creme Pie. Boston Creme Pie was created here and it was DELICIOUS! We read the history on this place and learned Ho Chi Minh (Vietnamese revolution leader) and Malcolm X worked here at one point.

We arrived at 8am thinking we left at a good time. Well, we quickly found out people get in line as early as 4am to get a wristband into the Hatch Shell area to watch the Boston Pops. We were worried BUT we got one too!!

We took a ferry from Plymouth to Provincetown, Cape Cod. The ride took 1.5 hours and was incredible....the ocean breeze and views! Provincetown is at the northernmost tip of the Cape.

We took a tour of an exact replica of the original Mayflower. The older guy is an "English settler" who plays the part of a sailor and told stories, in character of course, of life on the ship during the voyage.

This place has two villages, one for the English settlers (pilgrims) and one for the Natives. It is a reenactment of what life was like in the 17th century. The employees are the settlers and natives. They stay in full character, dress the part, and speak the part the entire time. They work in the villages as they would back then.

This is a very interesting museum. It is a museum about medical science and has examples in phemaldehyde of every type of disease you can have, what limbs look like broken/shot/etc, what physical defects look like, etc.

We are standing on a hill that was held by Union troops. The valley below was the area where the Confederate troops came to attack from the wooded areas at the top. Confederate snipers held the rocky area to the left known as the "Devil's Den"

They have a tour set up where you drive through the town to where important parts of the war took place. There are memorials all over the place and information on what took place in the areas you visit. It was very cool and informative because the entire area is huge, spread all over the town, and preserved by the National Park Service.
